From September 5th to 8th, Professor Takahashi, associate professor Natori, and around 10 students of Toyo University’s Department of livelihood design, visited our school and had an informal discussion with faculty and students of College of Architecture and Civil Engineering. The delegation also visited Beijing Sijiqing nursing home for the elderly, and inspected Beijing historical architecture and traditional dwellings. Prof. Ma Xin, Lin Wenjie, Bu Deqing,etc. from department of Architecture and some students from Architecture and City Planning Major participated in the exchange activities.
Department of livlihood design of Toyo University and our College of Architecture and Civil Engineering had signed a friendly exchange agreement in June 2013. Faculty of two sides have arranged many exchange visits since then.
Toyo University with a history of more than 120 years, ranked in the top ten of Japanese Private Universities. The department of livlihood design holds an authoritative position in the barrier free design research field, and have in-depth cooperation with College of Architecture and Civil Engineering of our school in the research of facilities for the aged.
