The President of Middle Tennessee State University Visited our University

On December 9th, President Wang Xiaochun has met President Sidney A. McPhee with two others of Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) and signed an agreement upon mathematics education project with them. Meanwhile, vice president Li Zhengxi introduced the basic education conditions in our school to them and exchanged opinions upon strengthening the further cooperation with them, then accompanied the guests visiting our key laboratories.

Those who have attended the meeting were the delegation of MTSU, vice President Andrew Poomann and Dean of Confucius, director of Chinese project Guanping Zheng; Dean of College of Science Zou Jiancheng, Dean of College of Business and Management Liu Yongxiang, director of International Office Xiong Jia quan.

Located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, MTSU is a comprehensive public university with School of Basic Science and Applied Science, School of Business, School of Mass media, School of Behavior and Health Sciences, School of Education, School of Arts, having more than 26 thousand students.

Our school has carried out a joint training project in Mathematics (including professional information and computing science and statistics) and in other professional fields like business management with MTSU. Professor Zou Jiancheng, dean of College of Science is also employed as a part-time supervisor of Ph.D. candadates in MTSU.
